Im scratching my head when all of a sudden my uber old Globe Tattoo E16oE model which was from Huawei suddenly acted up and is heating up like crazy and is not working anymore. I have already tried to do things to fix it like re-updating its firmware but to no avail. I can still be able to enter into its dashboard but the problem is you would not be able to use it because it does not even establish a signal in the first place.

I know that the sim card Im using is working because i have already tried putting it into a mobile phone and tried using it and it works, I even checked if its the microsd Card that was inserted in which causes the problem but to now avail. Micro SD Card is working but the USB Stick itself is not.

I can be able to browse inside the Huawei Modem with no problems at all. I also tried using it in another computer just to make sure that it is not the ports in my laptop that causes the problem and guess what, it did not work either.

One annoying problem too was that once it is plugged in, it would start to heat up faster than normal, up to the point that you cannot even touch it longer than usual because you would get hurt with the heat that its emitting. If you smell it it would even smell like a burnt plastic of some sort but it still works though.

If there were even a reset button in this modem, I would have already use that but it does not have any.

I already searched the internet too! and it seems that I am the only person in the world that is experiencing this problem, maybe there are other people too but they might not have posted it on the internet either. Probably they have already threw their Huawei E160E usb stick and bought a replacement.

Im contemplating to do that too, but Im gonna push this usb modem to its limits before I would buy a new one! If ever I would be able to fix these then Im gonna post here how I was able to do it.
